Nature-Based Therapy

My Approach

My work is guided by curiosity, care, and deep respect for your unique story. I integrate evidence-based and experiential approaches, drawing from:

  • Attachment-based therapy
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness and self-compassion practices

With a background in Environmental, Social, Sustainability and Science from Dalhousie University, I bring years of experience guiding people outdoors through education and immersive environmental experiences. This foundation allows me to create therapeutic experiences that connect you with the natural world, supporting reflection, presence, and personal growth. Together, we explore the emotions, patterns, and protective parts that shape your inner world — not to fix them, but to understand them and create space for healing and choice

What to Expect

Supporting people with disabilities or neurodivergence in Outdoor therapy offers the same depth and professionalism as traditional counselling — with the added benefit of movement, fresh air, and a deeper sense of connection. Together, we will:

  • Identify a location that feels comfortable, accessible, and aligned with your needs.
  • Discuss considerations such as weather, safety, and privacy.
  • Explore how being in nature can support your goals for healing, regulation, or reflection.

Sessions are trauma-informed and client-centred, designed to honour your comfort and boundaries while using the outdoors as a gentle support.
